Healing Wounds Pt. 1

++ Part one of the story between Drago and Misa Rose (mewzakuro0608's OC) ++

Misa Rose walked along the sidewalk of her small town, passing by the shops that sold trinkets that nobody ever wanted and food that tasted below average. Her long black hair swayed along her waist as she walked, and her ebony bangs barely covered her golden-brown eyes, that appeared like liquid gold when in the sun.

She sighed, growing impatient. Money. She needed money. And what was the only way for a teenager to get money? A job. And what place wanted a teenager to work for them? Not many.

She looked around her with distaste…not that it mattered much, she didn't really want to work at any of these tacky shops anyway…she stopped, however, and looked up at one she came across.

Hmm… She mused. This one looks interesting. Misa walked into the store, the small bell chiming, and up to the front glass desk. "Um…hello?" she asked, looking around. There wasn't anyone that she could see… "Are you hiring? I'm looking for work."

"No!"

She furrowed her brow in confusion, trying to see where the voice was coming from. "No?"

"No pasty face teenagers will work for me!" An old man popped up from where he had been crouching, startling Misa Rose.

"P-pasty face?" Before she could throw her own insult, a small girl ran into the store, along with a man who appeared to be in his thirties and a very large man that made Misa's eyes widen in slight surprise.

"Uncle!" Jade cried. "Drago's goons are after us! You have to do something…!" The girl then saw the teenager and smiled sheepishly. "Um…well, you see, I was actually talking about a…."

"Get out of here! Run away to someplace safe!" Misa looked up at the man speaking, though it was an order, it sounded gentle.

Misa was confused by it all, and decided that it would be better if she went somewhere else, hopefully to where less crazy people were. But before she had the chance to leave, three men barge into the shop, frightening her. Misa's breath caught in her throat, paralyzed with fear. The boys looked no older than her…perhaps by a few years, a short one with scrappy blonde hair, a scrawny one with dark brown hair and piercings on his nose and ears, and, well, the last one looked older than the other two, tough and burly, the kind that you wouldn't want to cross in a dark alley in the middle of the night.

Just what is going on…? She wondered, her golden-brown eyes wide.

"We're here," announced the blonde one, "To get the earth demon chi energy. Hand it over!" He then noticed Misa, one who the gang usually didn't encounter, and from her dark hair and golden eyes, assumed she must be related to the Chan family.

"You'll just have to pry it from my cold, dead hands then!" Jade scoffed. "Hey!" she protested, when the older man placed his hand on her shoulder, pushing her behind him.

"Jade, no," the man scolded, "Go to the back, and take that girl with you."

"What? Jackie, no way! I'm gonna get in on this fight." She held her hands up in a fighting pose. "You can count on that! Don't leave me out of the action!"

The man, Jackie, let out a heaved sigh, knowing there was no way to sway the stubborn girl once she had her mind set. Misa gasped when the scuffle began, and was shocked to find that this "Jackie" guy, and the rest of them, even the old man, were skilled fighters.

"I guess…." she murmured, inching backward. "It's time for me to make out of here!"

"Where do you think you're going, sweet cheeks?"

Misa turned to see the man with spiky dark hair and piercings looking her over. Her lip curled with disgust. She glared at him. "Get lost, creep!" When he laid a hand on her shoulder, she grabbed it and hurled him over, flipping him over on his back.

"Oof!" he grunted, when he landed onto the hard floor.

Strikemaster Ice, the blonde one, clenched his teeth in anger, and blew fire at her. Misa Rose was too shocked to move, but was saved by the small girl named Jackie, who pushed her out of the way.

"Phew," the girl sighed. "You would've been burnt to a crisp!" Jade gasped when DJ Fist, the burly, quiet one, punched Misa, knocking her out. "NO!" Jackie shrieked, when Misa was thrown over DJ Fist's shoulder.

"Well," chuckled Strikermaster Ice darkly, as he and his crew stood by the entrance. "If you want this one back, then you'll just have to come to Drago's lair, and hand over the demon chi to us personally. Otherwise…well, you don't want to know what will happen to her."

The trio left with the girl, leaving behind a stunned Chan family.

"What…" Jade whispered, looking up at her uncle. "Are we gonna do, Jackie?"

Jackie clenched his fists and looked down at the ground, silent.

Misa kicked and pounded on the burly man's back as she was dragged away from the shop; she refused to remain silent as she was being kidnapped! The blonde man walking behind eventually became so annoyed that he punched her and she blacked out once again.

The trio and their captive walked into the junkyard, which, strangely enough, was they're lair. They saw their fearless leader, Drago, a built young dragon with green scaly skin and spiky hair, ruthlessness and coldness in his eyes that couldn't be matched.

"What…." He began, taken back, "Is this?" His eyes went to the human girl, instead of what he had expected to the demon chi he had sent them for. "Why on earth did you bring this…this human girl here instead of the demon energy? Can you not even follow simple orders?" he barked, voice rising, as was his anger.

The trio of young men looked nervously at each other, intimidated by his anger. Strikemaster Ice quickly spoke up in an effort to soothe his rage. "Ah," he quickly responded, "We think this girl may be related to Chan. So…we can use her to get back at them!"

"Hmm…." Murmured Drago, pondering this idea. His eyes widened when the human girl woke up, whipping her head around at this foreign place. She quickly reacted, slamming her leg into DJ's face. The built man dropped her and she quickly jumped up and kicked Ice between the legs before he could grab her.

"Cr-crap!" he grunted, bending over in pain.

"Hya!" Misa Rose cried, jumping up and kicking Cobra in the face, sending him flying.

Drago watched the entire display, stunned as to how a girl barely five feet tall was able to take down his men so easily. Before she could do any more damage, he ran over and grabbed her by the wrist tightly. Misa tried to pull away, thrashing about, but he held fast to her, squeezing her wrist tightly, his nails slightly digging into her skin, until she was whimpering in pain and fear. "Don't mess with me," he growled. "From now on, you're to do as I say."

Misa for a moment was shocked by his appearance, but quickly shook her head, refusing. "Why don't we go one-on-one!" she challenged. "And then see if I will obey you!"

"Tch," he chuckled, grinning slightly. In two seconds flat, he had her pinned with his fingers curled around her throat. As he pulled away she panted for air, her fingers going to her cheek, feeling the warm liquid of blood.

Drago laughed, though it didn't sound jolly like a normal person's, but cruel and unrelenting. "Look at how weak you are…you may have been able to take down those pathetic fools, but against me, you're nothing."

Misa, in fury, let out a cry and lunged at him, trying to kick him. He almost yawned as he grabbed her by the leg, holding her upside down. She gasped when her skirt fell, causing both her and Drago to blush.

The crew stood on the side and let out a few whistles. "Nice white panties!" one of them snorted.

Misa blushed bright red. "Let go of me! You're all sick perverts!"

Drago put her down, but not before he grabbed her by the wrist and hissed, "You better behave or else."

Misa let out a small sigh and huffed, "You want me because you think I'm related to them? I hate to break it to you intelligent folks, but I'm not related to them at all. In fact, that was my first time even being there…I was just there looking for work!"

Drago breathed sharply through his nose, eyes wide, and then turned to his crew, anger clear on his face. "Idiots!"

"If I'm no longer wanted," she scoffed, breaking free of his hold. "I'll be off now."

"Not so fast!" shouted Drago, grabbing her again.

"Geez, you really have a thing with grabbing me, don't you? I think you're more of a pervert than those goons!"

He ignored her smart-aleck reply, glowering. "You can't go. Not now, since you know about the location of this place."

She narrowed her eyes back at him. "Hey, you live in the city's dump. It isn't exactly hard to find."

Drago growled deep in his throat, yanking her along to a broken car. He tied her hands with a thick black chain and fastened it to the door. "What a smart mouth you have," he mumbled. "This will hopefully teach you to watch your tongue around me." He motioned to his crew. "Let's go!"

"W-what?" she gasped, when they left. "They're just going to leave me here…? That jerk!"

She then realized just how tired she was from all of the events that occurred that day, and quickly fell into a deep sleep…

Misa Rose murmured lightly in her sleep, shaking her head back and forth. Her golden brown eyes opened slowly to see the man with dark hair and piercings grinning lecherously. She gasped, "What are you doing?"

"I think we should have some fun," he whispered, reaching for her.

She panicked, knowing that there was no way to escape what with her being chained. The only thing she could do was scream. "HELP! HELP!" she shrieked, leaning away from his touch.

From her left appeared Drago, swooping down. He didn't look happy at all. "Back off," he barked at his subordinate, immediately instilling fear into the young man, "She isn't a plaything."

Cobra gave his most "sincere" apologies before walking off, hands in his pocket, muttering curses under his breath at his loss.

There was an awkward silence before Misa Rose spoke up. "I…" she began shyly, blushing. "I guess I should thank you…thanks."

Drago shrugged, turning around, not saying anything. He then looked back at her with a raised eyebrow and came near, noticing that the cut on her face has healed. "How…" he asked, shocked, "How did you manage to do that?"

Misa blinked a few times. "Oh, uh, well, you see…" she began, trying to play dumb, but from the look on his face, wasn't really succeeding.

"Tell me or I will burn you into a crisp."

"Okay, okay! No need for such harsh threats!" she cried, exasperated. "Well…I healed it myself. I can do that." She shrugged. "It's a weird…ability I have."

He stared ponderingly at her, amazed. "Why on earth would a human be gifted with that kind of power?" he whispered, in awe. He paused for a moment, contemplating. "Perhaps," he began, "You are not completely pathetic." She could be of great use to me. Healing any wounds in a fight…it's brilliant. "You have a choice," Drago offered. "Either be killed by my hand or become my personal healer and energy restorer. What is your decision?"

Her eyes widened…way to put her on the spot like that! But…did she really want to die so suddenly? No, she didn't. It wasn't fair. It was unfair that she was in this situation in the first place, but this wasn't a time to drown in her own sorrow and sympathize herself. Sighing heavily, she realized she had no choice. "All right," she agreed reluctantly.

"I'll do whatever you want."
